Going for HIV counselling and testing allows you to live longer, whether you test negative or positive. At New Start all the staff you will encounter, from the receptionist to the counsellor, make every effort to ensure that the process is as comfortable as possible. The entire counselling and testing process usually takes about one hour but clients are free to remain with their counsellor as long as they like. Clients are encouraged to return for follow-up counselling whether they test positive or negative and they may call ahead of time to request the same counsellor.
Being smart and exercising good judgement go hand in hand...
